What to Bring to a Live Oak Bank Pavilion Concert

What to Bring to a Live Oak Bank Pavilion Concert

Live Oak Bank Pavilion is outdoor, on the river, and gets hot from May through September. Knowing what to bring (and what they'll confiscate at the gate) is the difference between a great night and a frustrating one.

The Bag Policy (Read This First)

  • Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC tote bag no larger than 12" x 6" x 12"
  • Small clutch bag no larger than 6" x 9" (doesn't need to be clear)

Non-clear bags require paid bag check (they'll give you a venue clear bag) or you walk it back to the car. Diaper bags are exempt but will be searched.

What's Allowed

  • Water - Up to 1 gallon, factory sealed or empty to refill inside
  • Blankets - No larger than 4' x 8'
  • Lawn chairs - Low profile only, seat no more than 9" off the ground. Rentals available on-site.
  • Cameras - Non-professional only, no detachable lenses
  • Strollers - Lawn area only, subject to search. No wagons.
  • Prescribed medication - Original container with verifiable name and photo ID
  • Signs - 8.5" x 11" max. Some shows don't allow signs at all.

What's NOT Allowed

  • Outside food (baby/toddler food in clear container up to 1 gallon is the exception)
  • Alcohol
  • Glass containers or cans
  • Coolers or lunchboxes
  • Weapons of any kind (even with concealed carry permit)
  • Animals (except service animals)
  • Large golf-style umbrellas
  • Laser pointers, fireworks, balloons
  • Chain wallets
  • Professional cameras
  • Lawn chairs taller than 9"

What to Actually Pack

A Clear Bag

Don't show up with a regular purse or backpack. Bag check costs money and the line is longer. Get a clear bag ahead of time.

Empty Water Bottle

Refill inside. Drinks are concert-priced. An empty bottle saves you $6 per fill.

Poncho

Summer storms roll in fast. Shows go on rain or shine. Umbrellas block views and large ones aren't allowed. A packable poncho fits in your clear bag.

Sunscreen

Summer shows with doors at 5:30-6 PM mean full sun for at least an hour. Apply before you arrive.

Portable Phone Charger

Your phone is your ticket, your camera, your way to find your group, and your ride home. It won't last the night.

Light Layer

Summer nights on the river cool off after sunset. A hoodie or flannel tied around your waist saves you by the encore.

Skip These

Food - Not allowed inside. Eat before.

Cash - Cash-free venue. Card and mobile only. Guest Services will convert cash to a card for free.

Regular bags - Clear bag policy. You'll pay for bag check.

Nice shoes - It's grass. It might be wet grass.
