The site
WilmingtonFun is a local events and places directory for Wilmington, North Carolina, operated by Cartegy, LLC. We list events, places, and guides — much of it submitted by users or aggregated from public sources.
Accuracy of listings
We do our best to keep event details accurate, but we don't guarantee anything is right. Dates change, venues cancel, prices update. Always confirm with the event organizer or venue before going. We're not liable for incorrect or out-of-date listings.
User-submitted content
When you submit an event, correction, or other content:
- You confirm you have the right to submit it (no copyrighted material you don't own, no private information about other people)
- You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to publish, edit, and distribute it on the site, in our newsletter, on social media, and similar channels
- We may edit, reject, or remove submissions at our discretion
Acceptable use
Don't use the site to:
- Submit spam or misleading information
- Harass or threaten others
- Scrape or republish our content without permission
- Try to break the site (security testing, denial-of-service, etc.)
We can suspend or remove accounts that violate this.
Intellectual property
The site, our brand, and our original content (guides, photography, design) are owned by Cartegy, LLC. You may share links freely. You may not republish our written content without permission.
Affiliate disclosure
Some links on the site (especially in guides) are affiliate links. If you click and purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This never influences what we recommend.
Paid featured listings
Featured listings are paid promotional placements for events on WilmingtonFun. A featured listing rotates your event into our featured slots — highlighted and pinned to the top of the events page — for the date range you select. It is a promotional placement, not an endorsement, and not a guarantee of any result.
How it works
- Featured placement is $5 per day, with a 2-day minimum. You choose your own date range.
- There are up to 3 featured slots available at any given time. Placement rotates randomly among all active featured events, so position is not fixed.
- Payment is charged in full at the time of purchase, even if your placement is scheduled to run at a later date.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see, handle, or store your credit card information.
- To update a listing after purchase, email hello@wilmingtonfun.com.
No guarantee of results
You are paying for placement, not performance. We do not promise any specific number of views, clicks, visitors, attendance, or other outcome.
Editorial
Featured listings run as submitted. We may edit or remove a listing for factual errors, offensive content, or illegal or unsubstantiated claims. Removal for these reasons does not entitle you to a refund.
Refunds
All sales are final. Payment for a featured listing is non-refundable once purchased, including if your event is cancelled, rescheduled, or you decide to cancel your placement. Because featured slots are limited, a booked slot prevents other customers from purchasing it, so a cancellation costs us that slot regardless of how far in advance it happens. Any refund or credit is granted solely at our discretion and is never guaranteed.
Chargebacks
Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute after purchasing a featured listing is a breach of these terms. We may remove all of your listings and decline to do business with you in the future.
Disclaimers and limits
The site is provided "as is." We make no warranties about uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any purpose. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.
Termination
We can suspend or terminate access at any time, for any reason. You can stop using the site any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
