The Original Ice Cream Stand has been scooping at the bend of Lumina Avenue at the entrance to Wrightsville Beach since 1994, set in a sunny-yellow walk-up resembling a train car. The menu covers scooped Hershey's ice cream, Italian ices, banana splits, fruit smoothies, milkshakes and iced coffee. A handful of benches and shaded seating sit just outside.
