STAX is a build-your-own ice cream sandwich shop in the Porters Neck stretch of Market Street, from chef Robert Pickens, Leslie Pickens, and Tracey Altman of Kornerstone Bistro and Tidewater Oyster Bar. The shop pairs cookies with custom ice cream Sliders, serves soft serve, and recently became the local home of Nye's Cream Sandwiches. Dairy-free options are available.
