Underground pool hall on Front Street operating since 1888 and claiming the title of America's oldest pool room. Originally the basement recreation hall of the Orton Hotel (which burned in 1949), this place has just kept going. Willie Mosconi set a world record here in 1953 by pocketing 365 balls. Today it's a true dive: cheap drinks, worn floors, friendly bartenders, pool tables, ping pong, skee-ball, darts, and live music several nights a week on a small stage in the back. Easy to walk past without noticing since the only sign is over a single door leading down to the basement. Locals love it for what it is, tourists love it for what it was, and pool players consider it a bucket list stop.
