The City of Wilmington hosts a free community watch party for the World Cup Final at Riverfront Park on Sunday, July 19, 2026, from 2:00 to 7:00 PM. Gates open at 2:00 PM with family activities, lawn games, soccer drills and clinics hosted by the YMCA and the Wilmington Hammerheads, and a keepie-uppie challenge with prizes from REV Credit Union. UNCW's Sammy C. Hawk will be on hand from 2:00 to 3:00 PM, and the match kicks off at 3:00 PM on the big screen, including the tournament's first-ever halftime show featuring Madonna, Shakira, and BTS.
Beer, wine, and food are available for purchase, cards and mobile pay only, no cash, and no outside food or beverages are permitted. Bring blankets or lawn chairs, seating is not provided. On-street parking is free on Sundays.
