MWO Summer Slam Poetry Competition at Barzarre

Mic's Wide Open presents the Summer Slam Poetry Competition, calling poets from Wilmington, the Port City, and beyond to step up to the mic with their strongest original work, battling for cash prizes, bragging rights, and this year's Summer Slam Champion title. Whether you're performing or just coming to listen, expect an evening packed with powerful storytelling, hard-hitting verses, unforgettable performances, and a room full of creative energy. Doors at 6:00 PM, competition begins at 6:30 PM. Admission is free, competing poets pay a $10 entry fee, and first place takes $150 with cash prizes for second and third, plus raffle giveaways from Memory Lane Comics and other local sponsors.
