Moth Night at Carolina Beach State Park takes place Friday, July 24, 2026, from 8:30 to 10:00 PM. Join the North Carolina Wildlife Federation for National Moth Week to meet moths you may have never seen before and listen for nocturnal birds in the coastal fringe forest. Participants will learn to use the Seek and iNaturalist apps to identify and record species sightings, and uploading 10 species observations earns an NC Moth Week badge.
The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
