For the first time in North Carolina, the Hubblo Immersive Dome takes over Thalian Hall's Red Box Theatre for the month of June. This 30-foot, 30-seat dome from Quebec delivers 360-degree 4K projection with spatial surround sound across four distinct shows with multiple daily screenings.
Pink Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon (50 min) is a 50th anniversary immersive audiovisual experience pairing the full remastered album with striking space imagery, followed by a post-show psychedelic dance floor. Explorer Double Feature (1 hr) pairs Aurorae, a journey through the Northern Lights, with One Day on Mars, a visual trip across the Red Planet. Family Double Feature (1 hr 7 min) pairs Close Encounters, an 8K virtual wildlife safari, with Total Eclipse, an animated adventure about solar eclipses. Bebe Symphonique (33 min) is an orchestral music experience designed for infants 0-18 months and their caregivers, featuring seven original pieces performed by the Montreal Symphony Orchestra.
Sensory advisory: Pink Floyd, Explorer, and Family shows contain moving images, surround sound, and simulated motion. Guests prone to motion sickness, dizziness, migraines, seizures, or sensory sensitivities should use discretion.
