Poplar Grove Plantation

68-acre historic site and working farm about 20 minutes north of Wilmington. The 1850 Greek Revival manor house offers guided tours about the Foy family and enslaved people who lived here. Grounds include restored outbuildings, farm animals kids enjoy, and gardens. Wednesday afternoon Farmers Market has local vendors. Special events include Halloween activities and holiday events popular with families. Outdoor areas and farm animals are fun even without the house tour.
