Free 7-acre public garden showcasing plants that grow well in coastal North Carolina. Multiple themed gardens include Japanese, children's, water, herb, and native plant areas. Educational and peaceful - good for learning what to plant in your own yard. Maintained by Cooperative Extension and volunteers. Never feels crowded. Nice alternative to Airlie Gardens without admission fee. Open daily during daylight hours. Cooperative Extension office can answer gardening questions.
