DESCRIPTION:<p>Whomporama\, the Intergalactic Bodysurf Championship\, returns to Carolina Beach on Saturday\, August 22\, 2026\, at the Hamlet Avenue Beach Access. The competition\, running for over a decade\, is fins-only\, no boards\, no engines\, with age divisions ranging from Super Grom for the little ones to Old As Dirt. Competitors throw themselves into the shorebreak while spectators cheer from the sand\, expect wipeouts\, costumes\, and one of the most uniquely Carolina Beach days of the summer.</p>
